The workshop will also feature specialists from the DHS Centers of Excellence, which are conducting critical homeland security research led by major universities. Curriculum content from the Centers will be integrated into the workshop. Topics will include the social-behavioral causes and consequences of terrorism, terrorism risk analysis, food security, zoonotic disease defense, and catastrophic event preparedness and response.
In addition, the workshop will acquaint participants with current issues that dominate U.S. foreign policy and much of the world’s attention (e.g. weapons of mass destruction and state sponsorship of terrorism). It promises an exploration into classic works written before September 11, 2001.
